La razón de esta convocatoria: dejar patente nuestro rechazo a todo tipo de violencia. La concentración se va a llevar a cabo en silencio, vestidas de negro y con una vela, por lo que pedimos, a tod@s que acudáis vestid@s de este color y con una vela.

The Coaliton of Women for Peace invites you to join the mass vigil of Women in Black - Israel that will take place at the Megiddo Junction on Friday, October 5. The vigil will be the closing event of Bat Shalom's Sukkat Hashalom that includes 3 days of dialogue, political education and discussions scheduled about: "One Year of Intifadah, One Moment Before War: Women Offer Alternatives".

This event is organized by Jewish and Palestinian women in the north of Israel who have been active together for many years in the movement to end the occupation and for a just political solution to the Israeli Palestinian conflict.

On or about that day, women and men from all over the world are planning to hold their own vigils and demonstrations against the danger of war as well as solidarity vigils with our initiative. WIB in San Francisco will organize a solidarity vigil with the vigil in Israel. Other WIB groups around the world are already involved in many actions that protest and condemn the danger of war. The Marche des Femmes Mondiale based in Quebec will hold a vigil on October 5 in Montreal against the threat of war, violence and poverty. They have also called their international network to act at the same day as part of an international initiative of women against war.

We call on the Women in Black network and other peace networks to join this international initiative to create a coordinated effort of protest and call for peace.

La Coalición de Mujeres por la Paz te invita a la vigilia masiva de Mujeres de Negro de Israel que tendrá lugar en Megiddo Junction el viernes 5 de octubre. La vigilia cerrará los acontecimientos de Bat Shalom Sukkat Hashalom que incluyen tres días de dialogo, educación política y discusiones programadas acerca de: "Un Año de Intifada, un Momento antes de la Guerra: Las mujeres ofrecen alternativas".

Estos acontecimientos han sido organizados por mujeres judías y palestinas al norte de Israel quienes han estado trabajando juntas desde hace muchos años por el final de la ocupación y por una solución política justa en el conflicto Israelí-Palestino.

En torno a esa fecha, mujeres y hombres de todo el mundo preparan vigilias y manifestaciones contra el peligro de la guerra, así como las vigilias de solidaridad con nuestras propias iniciativas. MdN en San Francisco organiza una en solidaridad con la vigilia de Israel. Otros grupos de MdN alrededor del mundo están ya comprometidos en acciones de protesta y condena sobre el peligro de la guerra. La marcha de las Mujeres del Mundo, Femmes Mondiale en Quebec realizarán una vigilia el 5 de octubre en Montreal contra la amenaza de la guerra, la violencia y la pobreza. Ellas ha hecho una llamada a su red internacional para realizar acciones el mismo día como parte de una iniciativa de Mujeres contra la Guerra.

Convocamos a la red de Mujeres de Negro y otras redes pacifistas a unirse a esta iniciativa internacional para así crear un esfuerzo de protesta coordinada y un llamamiento a la paz.

Women's vigil/demo in Westerpark in Amsterdam Thursday 11^th of october at 16 p.m.

In Italia Il 14 ottobre si svolge la marcia per la pace Perugia Assisi, è un appuntamento tradizionale del movimento pacifista italiano che quest'anno, dopo i tragici fatti di New York, assume un significato ancora più importante per riaffermare il rifiuto di ogni giolenza e guerra. Le Donne in Nero italiane parteciperanno numerose e il giorno prima, 13 ottobre, si incontreranno per un coordinamento nazionale a Perugia. I temi di cui si discuterà sono:

- Palestina-Israele

- Balcani

- Afghanistan

- Disarmare e demilitarizzare le menti e il mondo.

Saranno presenti alcune nostre amiche palestinesi - israeliane e altre.
